Reiki can be done in person or long distance.
In- Person
A session is usually carried out with you lying down or sitting in a comfortable position. I will start off with a chakra reading so I can know which need balancing. I will open and or close them as needed. I will then begin to place my hands gently, in a series of positions, on or over your body while praying and using affirmations.
Distance Reiki
Utilizing the ancient principle of the Law of Similarity, Reiki energy can be transferred regardless of physical location or timeframe, allowing me to access and clear blockages of a recipient who is not physically present. Through the use of their photo and other information - such as name, age, and intention - I am able to connect to and deliver Reiki energy to them while they relax in their own home.
In advance of the session, I will also ask you to email me a photo of yourself, along with your name, age, location and any intention you have of what they want the session to support (e.g. a physical or health issue, goal, or challenge).
YOU ALSO GET...
FREE CHAKRA BALANCING
All off my sessions come with a free chakra balancing.
Q & A
WHAT DOES A REIKI HEALING SESSION FEEL LIKE?
The experience during Reiki treatment varies from person to person. Reiki energy encourages you to let go of all tension, anxiety or fear so that a state of peace can be experienced. Many undergo deep relaxation and feel a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and surrounds them. At the end of the treatment, you will feel refreshed with a more positive, balanced and refreshed energy.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR REIKI SESSION?
Wherever you are in the world, you can follow these steps to help you prepare to receive the healing energy.
Give yourself at least 30 minutes prior to the session to sit and reflect. Check in with how your body is feeling and take note of any emotions, thoughts, or physical sensations you are experiencing.
Most practitioners will have you laying down for the majority of your session, since comfort is key if you want to be open to taking in Reiki energy. Be sure you are wearing loose and breathable clothes. Wear or bring socks since shoes are removed during the session and the feet can get cold.
You’ll also want to use the restroom before the session. If at anytime the position you are in for your session is uncomfortable in any way, communicate this with me as I will also want to be sure you are as relaxed as possible.
WHAT TO DO AFTER YOUR REIKI SESSION?
1. Meditate
Many of the benefits of Reiki can occur soon after the session ends. So it’s important to find somewhere quiet and relaxing to meditate on what may arise. I recommend that my clients take at least 15-20 minutes after the session to meditate, lie down, go for a nature walk, or even take a nap.
Try not to book or schedule anything immediately after your session.
It’s important to hydrate after doing any type of energy work. Be sure to drink 1-2 glasses of water after your session. Energy work can often make you hungry, and you may find yourself feeling like you want a little extra snack immediately after your session too. Be sure you listen to your body and choose a healthy snack or meal afterward if needed. Eating can also help ground the body and as a bonus, you may find that piece of dark chocolate or real cocoa tastes extra good after energy work.
Spend some time again later in the day reflecting—whether that means journaling, drawing, or somehow capturing any insights you had during the experience. You may also decide to meditate afterward or listen to calming and/or inspirational music. Whatever you choose to do, find an activity that helps you connect to what you've experienced so you can draw on it in future.
Reiki is extremely gentle and it never hurts… yet, since energy blockages are being cleared in the body during a session, discomfort can arise. Find out what the best way is to contact your practitioner and get in touch if anything feels physically or emotionally painful after your session.
🕯️ MUDRA YOU CAN DO FOR SELF AT HOME WHEN YOU ARE FEELING OVERWHELMED (pictured above).
This is a simple mudra: Cross your hands over your chest while connecting your thumbs so that your hands rest on your heart region and your fingers extend like “wings of the heart.” It has the same effect as Anjali Mudra (Prayer) but often with the quality of greater grounding and intimacy with the Source within you. Be mindful and breath in and out slowly. During this time you can also repeat healthy mantras:
I AM ONE WITH SELF.
I AM PRESENT.
I AM LOVED.
I AM RIGHT WHERE I AM SUPPOSED TO BE.
